    Strengthened cultural safety through wānanga with kaimahi Māori and organisational leaders. Reported on current state, with recommendations focusing on practical improvements and developed an ongoing pulse check survey.

    Reviewed how kaupapa Māori was being internally governed, restructured ways of working with the organisations Māori caucus and developed governance guidelines with supporting templates, processes and procedures to ensure the kaupapa, kaimahi Māori and non Māori are protected.

Founders

RŌA was founded by Teahooterangi Pihama and Awhina Rangitutia-Pihama to create space for bold thinking, cultural integrity and economic transformation.

With experience across banking, insurance, risk, governance, strategy, Māori economy and public commentary, they established RŌA to bring kaupapa Māori and commercial discipline into the spaces where decisions are made.
